Gravels and Aggregates

Granular A: Granular A is a crushed sandy gravel product that is ideally suited for grading and base in projects involving interlocking stone, concrete, retaining walls and paving. Granular A is known for its drainage and frost reduction qualities. It is a very stable crushed gravel product.

¾ Inch Crusher Run: Crusher run is often the product of choice to create hard surfaces, such as bases for a road, and it’s also commonly used to create driveways. Crusher run is composed of a variety of stones, ranging from three quarter inch stones right down to fine silt. It’s characteristics include superior interlocking ability and drainage.

Brick Sand: Brick sand has a fine texture and is frequently used in creating mortar for brick and stone work. It’s also often used in the construction of above ground swimming pools, and in sandboxes. Brick sand can also be mixed with heavier clay soils for use in certain drainage applications.

Concrete Sand: Used in the creation of concrete, when combined with an aggregate. It’s uses include being used as concrete, in septic systems and bedding pipes, playgrounds and more. Concrete sand is a washed sand product, so it’s applications include anything that requires clean, graded sand.

3/8 Inch Pea Gravel: Pea gravel is used in drainage applications, but is also used in walkways and other areas such as around stepping stones, or even as a garden bed accent as an attractive option. It can also be used in some concrete-related projets. This inexpensive and attractive pea sized option is a favourite choice amongst many seasoned landscapers for its permeability and versatility.

¾ Inch Clear Limestone: This limestone product is mainly used in drainage projects, under concrete. There is very little in way of settling that occurs with this product, because of the fact that fines have been removed from it. It’s frequently used for drainage under foundations, around weeping tile or under decks and more. It can also be mixed with concrete.

Limestone Screenings: This product is typically used as the final layer in base preparation for interlocking stone or even driveway or walkway / pathway projects. It’s generally great for leveling, so it’s often used in regrading. It’s also known for its use on baseball diamonds.

High Performance Bedding (HPB): High Performance Bedding or HPV – S/B HPB! is used to provide a drainage underlayer under slabs, pipe bedding trenches, retaining walls, and more. It’s very easy to work with (no compaction needed) and tests very well from a drainage standpoint. It can also be used as base for interlock pavers, concrete, and other pavements.
